"I know, deep within my heart, that we aren’t meant to be. At all. I fell in love with you anyways. But as more time passes, more and more the realization comes out under the surface of warm, fuzzy feelings, that this is going nowhere. We are not going anywhere. It may be wonderful for the moment, but my heart knows better and even though it leaps with joy by the simple thought of you, it limps. And that’s what makes me sad. I can’t live for the moment if I know that once this moment is over, I’m going to be left alone. I’m going to be hurt and it will have been me, who hurt myself, because I didn’t leave earlier. It makes me sad. And I can’t tell you this. Because you would leave me right away, and this I couldn’t do either. I’m stuck between wanting to stay by your side, and knowing better not to do so. It’s unbearable."
