I miss HONGKONG!!!!Went for dim sum lunch with my colleagues at this very authentic hongkong looking restaurant located at Chinatown. It's called Red Star Restaurant and they serve really nice dim sum there. There are people pushing the cart around containing the different food items. Really authentic. I like! Not only that, it's quite affordable. We ordered SO MUCH but the bill only came up to $126 for 6 person. Let's go there one day, Lee Jiaqi!!! =)) Just came back from Karaoke at Loyang Point's Party World with JQ not long ago. We happily got a room and when we started singing we suddenly got attracted to a voice outside at the hall. She was singing in a really weird manner. Voice breaking almost after every 2 words. We got so amused by it that it left us laughing so hard, I even teared. But it wasn't long that her singing became so much of a distraction, it made both of us so frustrated! We couldn't sing at all because her music was blasting loud and what's more her voice was the "best" we ever heard of. No joke!!!! It was so hard to take especially when she was singing some of our favourite songs! We just couldn't sing and were shouting #$%^&*(*^* to her from the room. Argh!!!!! Alright anyway, I'm skype-ing with JQ now. LOL. This is how JQ look when she's gaming...................... ![]() Okay! I'm going to sleep soon!!! It's 4.42am now!!!!!!! Woohoo it's the start of Sept holidays. Good night! =D Thursday, August 28, 2008
We celebrated Teacher's Day in school today. I forgot to charge my camera and it died on me after taking jut a few pictures! *Sigh* It was a 1 1/2 hour session today. Went up to the hall for performance then it was dismissal. We got a really really touching surprise performance by one of the k2 class(Meiyun! It's by the children of ex Faith class!). It was fantastic! One of the teacher even cried. LOL. I took a video of it with my hp but I can't seem to upload it! =/ Got my children to hug both my laoshi and I before they leave school to enjoy their Sept holidays. Seriously although they occassionally make my blood boil so badly, I really wish to continue teaching them when they are in K1 and K2. But I know it's impossible because I'll be stuck in Nursery for the next 2 years!!! Anyway, these are my zhan li ping! Haha. I'm really thankful for all the gifts and cards. =) But to tell you the truth.. I have no idea when I'll use them. Those I recieved last year are still nicely kept in my room. Hee. After school, we had our Teacher's Day lunch at Seafood Paradise, Defu Lane 10. I loveee the creamy butter crab. It's my favourite. LOL. My family used to eat there quite often so I'm really happy the school selected that place. =) We were seperated into 2 tables and I was sitted with Father James, Uncle Christopher and most of the Channel 5 teachers. Father James is funny la. He made me laugh so much today. "If your surname is Chen, please don't call your child Monica!" Wahahaha! Anyway, it's Helen's last day at St Anne's. Although I'm not showing much sadness whatsoever, I'm really feeling depressed deep down. She's like my mentor, always there to guide me. When I'm lost in the things I'm doing, I just need to walk a few steps over to her class and I'm saved! I just lost a chit-chatting partner be it during or after school hours. I'm quite dependent on her to a certain extent, now I'm going to suffer. Shucks! =.( I'll miss her. I really will. School will be different without her. The few of us will be meeting for lunch tomorrow. Pray I won't cry because it seems I'm getting emotional here. You mean alot and I'll definitely miss you loads!! Good night. Monday, August 25, 2008
I had the chance to take a picture with JJ Lin when I was at Raffles City today to watch Diya and Carrie's performance. =) Luckylucky! He was there to perform too but I had to rush off for school. But at least we got a bonus! Haha. =)![]() School has started and I went for the orientation just now. No friends yet, everyone seems to know each other already. I'm not good at approaching people so let's wait and see how things go. Anyway, I have a great news. LOL. Since I already have my CPT, I'm exempted from some modules and after looking at my schedule, I only have 3 lessons to attend for the rest of this year till next Feb! Which means I can happily enjoy my holidays. =) Yeapie!! =) My air-con is down. This is BAD! I'm going to have a tough time sleeping. My sis is sick so I can't on my Mum's room aircon. *Big sigh* This is torturing man. Most prob I'll stay in Tamp during the Sept holidays if the air con is still down. Hurry get me the technician!! =\ Saturday, August 23, 2008
The weekend has come to an end again. How fast time flies when I'm enjoying. =/It was a rather happening weekend. LOL. Went for fieldtrip on Friday with the B class and through this outing I've concluded that my afternoon session love taking pictures as much as their teacher!!! Seriously! They are forever ready for the camera which makes taking pictures of them so enjoyable. =) All set and ready to leave the school. =) Yes like I say the children loves taking picture as much as their TEACHER! LOL. ![]() I took many pictures of them when we were waiting for the bus after lunch and here are some to share.... Smile!!! Sad face. Funny faces! Saranhaeyo. . During the night, I met JQ at J8 to attend an event involving Diya and Carrie. =) And again it was pure coincidence that JQ and I wore caps that night. Hahahaha. As for yesterday night, went over to Esplanade Park to show our support for Diya. =) . And when we were in the car leaving the place, we managed to catch a glimpse of the fireworks. Lucky us! =) Haha. And you know what?!!!! For the first time ever, I entered a Gay Pub. LOL. 12 Lotus was having their promo there and JQ and I decided to go and support Carrie and at the same time take this chance to look around. Wahahaha. It was an eye opener man, at least for me! 0.O I saw 2 guys hot kissing and another guy hitting his partner's ass! Not only that guys were hugging one another from behind and sitting on each other's lap!! OMYGOSH please. o.O Anyway, the crowd wasn't very participative. It wasn't as high as expected but at least Carrie performed quite well and received cheers! Hahahaa. =) . Alright as for today, I'll be a good girl. I'm trying to finish up my work stuff to minimise my workload before school starts tomorrow and assignment starts piling up!! It's the beginning of my torturous 1 and a half year. God bless me please! Thursday, August 21, 2008
This wasn't planned.Pure coincidence. =) We went training in the same jersey. and change out into the same jersey too! LOL. =) We are team-mates! Wednesday, August 20, 2008
Peace A's field trip to the Mushroom Farm and Hydroponics Farm. =)God was so kind to us. He gave us really good weather. I'm very thankful. It only started raining when we were on our way back to school. Let's hope Friday will be the same. =) Getting ready to leave the school. Mushroom Farm. ![]() Hydroponic Farm . Everyone was given free vegetables to bring home. Not only that, I bought so much mushroom from the farm that I can predict there will be a mushroom feast over the weekend. *NICE* Alright it's late and I'm finally done with the letter(After 3 hours plus)! Good night. Monday, August 18, 2008
On Saturday night while I was waiting for the red light to turn to green, I casually turned my head to the right and immediately jumped up at the sight of Lee Wei Song whose car was parking next to mine. And the funniest thing was I think he saw me getting a shock till he himself got a shock too. LOL. =)Anyway, Saturday was amazing race season 2. If you know what I mean. From Downtown to Bukit Batok to AMK Hub and finally back to Sengkang. It was a day filled with events and laughters. I never thought a dress can bring us so much joy. LOL. =) And finally, Singapore settled with a silver medal from Table Tennis. No gold but I think they have seriously done Singapore proud. Congratulations! Oh and did you watch the badminton finals? Did you see Lee Yong Dae? LOL. I believe now everyone will agree with me that he is really very good! He's world number 2 at the age of 20!! And he still got so many more years to go! It's exciting just watching him play. He truly deserved the gold with his female partner. Lastly, LIN DAN! What can I say? He was playing at his BEST! No one can stop him man. And I seriously mean NO ONE! He was tooo good, no wonder he's called superdan! He's really super! Well deserved gold medalist! =) Now that badminton has ended, I shall move my focus to the individual table tennis event. Hopefully Singapore is able to get another medal. Jiayou! School is only starting next week but I'm already feeling the stress. There's so much in hand now and once school assignment is handed to me, I think that will be my breaking point. *Sigh* Alright to make me feel better, I going to watch 命中 now. Haha. Byebye! Friday, August 15, 2008
Singapore made it!!We finally have a medal in hand. =) I managed to rush back home to catch the last 2 singles match of the table tennis semis and omgosh it was damn exciting. I was screaming alone in my living room like some mad person. Seriously my heart was pumping so fast, thank god the team's weakest link was able to handle the pressure and performed well in the deciding match. Now she will be as popular as Lee Jia Wei. Haha. Alright, I'm currently watching the badminton live score on the internet. Lee Chong Wei is leading Lee Hyunli. Sianz. Waiting for Lin Dan's match now. Boring Channel 5 chose not to please us badminton lovers. Argh!! Monday, August 11, 2008
Thankfully channel 5 repeated Boonsak's match and all I can say is he wasn't on form. It should be a close match but he kept on making mistakes. =(My Thai friend approached me on msn just now and yes we are both suffering from depression. LOL. She told me Boonsak said in an interview before he left for Beijing that this will be his last Olympics because by England 2012 he will be 30 years old. Ahhhh but look at Peter Gade! He's 32 and he is still in the game! Oh and Taufik is out too! That's another upset. He hasn't been on form for some time now and the fact that he just recovered from dengue, it was no surprise Wong Choong Hann was able to win the previous Olympic winner. Olympics without Taufik?!? Weird! Lin Dan must be celebrating now. Haha. Anyway, time seems to be passing really fast. It's week 8 now, 2 more weeks to September holidays. Ahhhhh... it also means school is starting for me. *SIGH* I seriously have no idea if I can survive the next one and a half years. Gosh! No more afternoon nap! That's bad! I need to be more discipline so I've decided I must be in bed by 1030pm every night! That will allow me to have a good 8 hours of sleep(which still isn't enough). =) Alright so I'm starting this routine from 20th August onwards. Please bomb me if you see me online after 1030pm. LOL. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Haha. Okay! I'm suffering from a slight headache now. It's a sign. I need to sleep. Hopefully I can sleep well tonight. Last night was terrible, I was only half asleep the whole night. *Shakes head* I want to dream of boonsak. LOL. Good night! S-A-D! ![]() Boonsak has been knocked out of the Olympics! =.( For the whole day, my soul was in Beijing. And finally after school, I went straight to check the result and was totally heartbroken by what I saw. Straight set to Sony. *Big sigh* 21-16, 21-14. It is his first game in Beijing and I seriously think he's not fully prepared yet. I'm feeling extremely sad for him. Being kicked out at the first game is bad enough, being kicked out by the same person for the 2nd consecutive time make things worse. As an athletic, I know what it's like putting all the effort training sooooo hard just hoping to get something in return. Moreover, an olympic medal is what everyone dream for. He came soooo close to getting it in Athens, finishing 4th. People would expect more from him this time round. Argh! It's just so saddening. I haven't seen him play lah! How I wish I can fly over now? Yes I'm just dreaming. Now I'll support/put my focus on Lee Yong Dae/Liliyana/Lindan/XieXingFang. LOL. But my heart still goes out to Boonsak Ponsana! =) I miss Thailand & you! Sunday, August 10, 2008
I know I'm one day late but still......HAPPY 43th BIRHTDAY SINGAPORE!! May our country have many more outstanding achievements and progress in future with the collarboration and support of every Singaporean! Cheers Singapore! . Although again for the 8th year I didn't manage to get the NDP tickets, I still think I had a pretty fun-filled National Day. =) . 08.08.2008 We had our National Day celebration one day earlier in school. Sports Day was the main program for the entire celebration. Everyone was dressed up in national colours and it was an amazing sight. I hope everyone enjoyed themselves as much as I did. I know my kids did for sure! =) . The Singapore Cheer! S-I-N-G-A-P-O-R-E! The Singapore Pledge! We are Singapore! We are Singapore! We will stand together till the lion roar! Kids race. ![]() Parents race. Seriously I think I lost my image at this point of time. In a good way of course. Hahaha. Peace B. . 09.08.2008 As for yesterday, JQ and I attended the 12 Lotus concert at Max Pavilion. That's Carrie for your info. LOL. And we decided to dress up in national colours on this special day. Look at me, I'm a walking flag. My footwear is red and white in colour as well. I'm carrying a white bag too. LOL. I'm a patriot! So anyway, we went for dinner at ECP and managed to catch the flypass! Woohooo!! Didn't want to head home after that so we decided to drive over to downtown for KBOX! But it costed a BOMB!!!!! $35 nett for each person lar! Thankfully we had a resourceful person around who called up Partyworld and found out there was an outlet at Loyang and each person only had to pay $21. We were only given the room at 10pm so before that we stayed at downtown and chilled at Nebo cafe. And we played this......... Our winnings! That lucky girl who got all the easy cards. And those that we didn't managed to guess. XW came to join us at Partyworld after her work. Future idol to be? LOL. Group pic at 2am!!! . We had the room till 1am but stayed for another 1 hour inside the room playing games and singing without music. LOL. The whole night was damn high la. Especially the ending when we K-ed JayChou's songs! Best! Finally after sending everyone home, I reached home at 3am. -_- . As expected, I missed church this morning! Couldn't wake up! Argh! I know it's damn bad la! I haven't had communion for 3 weeks lor. Sorry!!! . Anyway, meeting JQ later. Playing badminton at night with her church friends. Woohoo. Can't wait. Seems like Sunday badminton is going to be a fix thing. Byebye! I'm proud to be a Singaporean! Wednesday, August 06, 2008
My stress for this week is finally O-V-E-R! =)Anyway, Sony service centre called me today and told me that my cybershot was beyond repair and I should get a new one. My heart sank upon hearing it, the black sleek camera dead on me. Gosh~ It's not even a year yet! =( I know so much I had to pay for a new camera myself but was unwilling to part with that sum of money. But finally after brainwashing myself for a few hours , I convinced myself that it was a good investment. LOL. And yes I bought myself a silver canon ixus 80is. It's a new model going on promotion for the month of august and I think it's a good deal. So yeah! I've got a new cam. =) ![]() I think Canon is really good and I will not regret spending that money although now it means I have to budget myself in everything I do. No more cabs!!!!! Haha. Good night! Tuesday, August 05, 2008
Part 2. IT'S MY BIRTHDAY! @ ORCHARD HOTEL. It was a heartwarming, relaxing, slow pace party by the pool attended by my family, colleagues and close friends. The venue was well decorated with wedding like table settings and balloons tied on every sunbed. =) People started arriving at around 730pm and it was the beginning of my long and tired night. While everyone was busy enjoying the food, I on the other hand was moving from table to table interacting with my guest, hoping that no one felt left out. Seriously it's no easy job because I was totally worn out after that. -_- My cake made entrance at about 930pm. A 3kg mango cake given free by the hotel. Filled with mango inside out, it was fantastic!! Two thumbs up! After cutting my cake, it was followed by photo taking session with different groups(Refer to picture post). Then my guest started leaving at about 10 plus and at 11.12pm, I was thrown into the pool(x3) followed by the other girls. For more look into the swimming pool saga please refer to Xiaowei's blog. LOL. Anyway, I suffered 2 big casualties. I happily pushed JQ into the pool, not knowing that she was holding on to my HP and camera. Anyway, I just collected my phone from the service centre today. Thank god it's perfectly fine now. As for my camera, I'm still waiting for that important call. So yeah, headed back to the hotel room close to 12, bathe and opened my presents!!!!! =))) JQ, XW and Sally stayed over with me. I really wanted to stay up throughout the night but I was really too tired. First to ZzzZZzzZzzzz.. Woke up rather early the next day and because I was bored, I woke everyone up. Hahaha. Finally the girls gave me my present. I'm most impressed with the handmade panda that looks like Mr Bean's bear which was made with love. Even till now, just looking at it makes me laugh. LOL. So we requested for late check out and I was finally able to view the "surprise" video which had many SURPRISE guest appearance! I'm really touched! - From the bottom of my heart!
