All I want now is to sleep....but because today is the first time I take my Nursery A class out for an excursion, I thought I should at least blog alittle about it. =/ Overall, the outing was good. Even though the parents were present, all things turned out fine and I'm really glad. We departed from school at about 9am and took the bus to Ponggol MRT station. Since our current theme is on Transportation, we thought allowing the children to experience the different form of transport would be appropriate. So from Ponggol we train-ed to Clark Quay and made our way to the starting point of our bumboat ride. The kids were all excited about it... All the "Wah!", "Ehhhh..", "You See, you see!" etc... were heard throughout the whole 30minutes ride. As for me, I was the busy photograher of the day, who was snapping photos non-stop for the 3 classes. =) After the ride, we proceeded to Liang Court's Macdonald where we had our lunch blah blah blah(I'm really lazy to continue).... and then took the bus back to school. Although my eyes are seriously closing but I think the pictures I took today were really good so I don't mind uploading it..... =P Peace A           Went for early dinner at sakae with the usual for Grace's farewell after which proceeded to church for evening mass. Okay! I give up. It's time for bed. Waking up at 5.30am tomorrow. Going Batam with teachers from St Anne's for a day tour. =) Good night! Monday, April 28, 2008
Alright, I'm here to blog about my trip since I have some time to spare. =)It's definitely going to be a post filled with photos, photos and MORE photos. Enjoy! 15.4.2008 Guangzhou Day 1 Reached Guangzhou at about 10 plus in the morning and it was a free and easy day. =) No work. Arrived at our apartment to put our luggage and then left for lunch at a nearby hotel after which, it was shopping! Anyway, the air pollution in China is really really bad. They seriously need to work on it.   16.4.2008 Guangzhou Day 2 Woke up really early to bathe and get prepared for work. The exhibition hall is about a 30minutes drive from where we are living. Reached our destination and I tell you the place is sooooooooo big, we had to walk quite a distance, passed a few halls before reaching our booth. Security is really tight, no pass means no entry and the police officers are really rude! Work was okay, just that having to stand on heels the whole day is pretty torturing.   17.4.2008 Guangzhou Day 3 Nothing special. We did the exact same things....... Work, work and more work. =] Went shopping at night and had a taste of China's bubble tea which actually tasted quite good. Really cheap too! 80 cents for a medium cup. =P Amazingly, we didn't take any pictures today!! Haha. 18.4.2008 Guangzhou Day 4 Same, same, same. With pictures! LOL The day JQ arrived in Guangzhou.       19.4.2008 Guangzhou Day 5 Work as usual. Jiaqi and I was chosen to stay at our ghost-sy booth. We have 2 booth.. One was a hot spot which was always filled with people while the other booth was always quiet and lifeless. Had lunch for the 4th consecutive day at Macdonalds. Their set meals are really cheap. With nuggets in every meal, a large fries, a large drink and a burger of your choice for only sing 8dollars. Their outlet had almost 20 counters at work and the whole place was always packed. Guess most people like us have never seen such a busy mac before that people started taking out their camaras to snap.       While leaving the exhibition hall, we met with a typhoon. We had no umbrella(it's of no use anyway) but JQ and I managed to get hold of those big black rubbish bag. And I decided to make a raincoat out of it. LOL.   We returned back to our apartment safe and sound, got changed and left for dinner.  We then decided to go for feet and full body massage. We definitely deserve it after 4 days of hard work!        My massager. He's only 18!  Group photo.  20.4.2008 Guangzhou Day 6 Last day of the trade fair. =) This is what we do when we are bored at work.  While waiting...........    Anyway, if you're thinking of driving in China, you better shake off that idea. Their drivers all really reckless, you're just putting your live at risk! Our driver driving on the walkway to avoid the jam.  He decided to get off the walkway and drive in the opposition direction!!!!!  Taken during dinner at a Jap restuarant at Beijing Lu.  Blending into their culture....  21.4.2008 Guangzhou Day 7 & Hongkong Day 1 Woke up early.. Had breakfast and started our last day of shopping at Guangzhou. Read this.  Left Guangzhou at around 5 plus and took a train to Shenzhen.  From shenzhen, we crossed the custom and reached HONGKONG!!!! Took a train and got off at the wrong station.. So we decided to take a cab to our hostel. =)   Finally managed to eat our all time favourite.... Cold noodle!!!  (I'm getting tired.... Too lazy to look back for any errors.. So forgive me if there is any...) Because JQ's bro had to return to Guangzhou the next day, we decided to grant his wish to visit the night life of HK so we all headed down to Tsim Sha Tsui. After looking around, we decided on The Cavern.            22.4.2008 Hongkong Day 2 It's a Cap Day! Shopping, shopping and more shopping!!! Although things might happen unexpectedly... Lazy to go in details, just that we managed to travel pass places we would never go. =]                Went to Jordan to meet Sally's Hongkong friend for dinner at night then had dessert after which walked back to mongkok. It's the second time Ryan meet us when we were in Hongkong. Our unofficial tourguide.       Back in our hostel. Ryan decided to stayover since it was already 2am...  We played card games and I did the chicky dance as my forfeit. While sally and xw had to write a 5 letter word with their bum and let us guess. That was hilarious please... Non-stop laughter..   23.4.2008 Hongkong Day 3 By the time we left our hostel, it was already lunchtime. So I didn't get a chance to eat my yutiao with congee. But at least I had my congee. =) Yummilicious!  We did our last minute shopping. Bought whatever we needed by 5.30pm and left for the airport in a rented van. As expected, our luggage exceeded the weight limit and so some had to be hand carried.  Alright, I'm done with this rushrush post. I'm so lazy to read through it so I'll just make do with whatever I've typed and put up. It's late and I need to sleep. *yawns* It's good to be back...... Nights!
