The weather today was terribly hot in Sengkang. We teachers were trying all ways to avoid the sun when my class had outdoor time at the playground but it didn't help much because we were still generously roasted. Other than that, school was good. The kids are opening up more to me and giving me bountiful hugs. Total love! =)Anyway, I managed to secretly take a few shots of my kids. No favoritism. It just so happened that they were in an all clear position. LOL.    Look at the glare of sunlight in this picture. o.0  Alright, getting back to work now. Communication. It's the first thing we really learn in life. Funny thing is, once we grow up, learn our words and really start talking, the harder it becomes to know what to say. Or how to ask for what we really need.School has already started for 3 days and so far things are pretty smooth. Maybe it's because I'm not teaching yet. Basically I've been spending the time in school interacting with the kids and ohmy~! They are just too adorable to resist! Haha. Little ducklings! Anyway, 2 more months to baptism and I believe things are slowly falling into place. My toughest problem has already been solved and I believe it's all in God's planning. Now with the spiritual support that I will receive from my Godma to be, I'm just so excited about my final journey. =D Alright, going to get ready for church now. Peace be with you. First day of work and my workload for this week has already piled up till my throat. So dead.Anyway, I met with a car accident yesterday. Don't want to go into details. Just that it's not my fault, that guy did an illegal u-turn when I was turning left on green arrow and he hit the back of my car. I'm a safe driver. Haha. Mum send the car for repair today and the total cost was about $5000. Woah! And of course, the guy has to pay for it. =) Alright, going to continue doing my work now. Rushrushrush!! Bye! Why did the school send us to a clinic that is not fully equipped!!Seriously it's a waste of time. I went back there 3 times already. This afternoon, so coincidentally the doctor was not around and I was asked to return at night. Fine! So I went back at about 7pm and after the normal checks, they told me that I have to go down to Sengkang Polyclinic to do my X-ray! Not only that, I have to return to the clinic again to show the doctor my result. And although I am very reluctant to do so I've no choice right? So I told myself I will get it all done by tomorrow but then came another bomb! The doctor will not be around tomorrow and will only be back on Friday night which means for the next 2 days I will have to spend precious time going to the polyclinic and clinic just to get one thing settled! #$%^&*(! The receptionist even told me there's a possibility that I won't be able to get my X-ray result on the day itself! *Argh* Why can't the school just appoint Raffles Medical to do the check up or at the most do the check up straight at a polyclinic. *Sigh* The only thing that I was happy about was that no injection was needed, provided I was being hired to be the cook. Thank God! 4 more days and I will start work. No idea why but I'm not really looking forward to it. No more enjoyment, it's officially down to serious business. =( Anyway during my time at St Anne's, I just pray that I will not get into trouble with anyone. Just seeking for a peaceful environment and to do my part for what I'm paid for. No gossiping, no backstabbing please! Currently I'm in a rather confused state. Not that I want to be in this position but I just can't control it. When will it end? Went for Spop recording today.As expected, the result was a disappointment. But like what Nath said, as least through this competition he got a song to his name, which is still good. =) For me, Nath's song is definitely one of the best few in the comp. Seriously. Not being bias. The tune is really catchy, the meaning of the song is quite obvious and of course, he sang it well. Got feel you know? Haha. You can surely imagine singing this song in kbox right? Don't tell me you don't agree?!?   After all, Spop is a competition. There will be a winner and some who will lose but what is more important to know is that there are people out there like me who really appreciate the song and I think that is what matters most. Actually, I pity JQ. The amount of effort she put in everyday. Especially the last day, she literally chiong-ed like mad so it's quite sad. But on a lighter note, I need not listen to her say... "Sha Mo wu bian, huan huan wu di... Yeah!" anymore. Seriously she loves repeating it so it gets quite irritating at times. But no matter what, I still love her! Wahahaha. Both were feeling hungry so drove over to ECP's Macdonald. Woohoo~! Twister fries. Anyway, have you guys tried the Red Bean Pie? I think it's nice. Try it before it's gone! Then was about to send JQ home but suddenly we had the urge to sing out loud so drove to Changi Beach. Sat in the car facing the sea, listening to JQ's mp3 and the two of us just sang our hearts out with aeroplanes flying above us every 5 minutes. Nice! I think JQ and I will make a really romantic couple. LOL! The things we do together. Awwwww.... But too bad I'm only attracted to guys. Wahahaha. Finally, it was a round of Ah Guas then home sweet home. =) Going for my medical check-up tomorrow. *Scared* Injection!! To make things worse, I'll be alone. *Shivers* Oh ya! I'm so dead. I know I have been missing for a few days and yes here I am, back from a well spend weekend with hundreds of pictures taken. Now the thought of having to upload them seriously bores me. But do expect this post to be filled with photos! =)So Friday.. 18 January 2008 was Xiaowei's birthday. That girl has officially joined the 20's club and to make this day a memorable one, the birthday girl, Jiaqi and I started off by heading over to the Zoo. Let me see...... (Counting fingers) Gosh! It's been about 10 years since I last went to the zoo! Yeah so 3 excited girls met up and train-ed over to AMK, bought lots of food and then took a direct bus. Upon reaching, XW just couldn't wait to enter; she walked ahead of us, bought the tickets and hurried us to enter. Haha. *Click on the collage to enlarge the picture.*    Managed to see most of the animals and catch the elephant show. Overall, the white tiger left me the deepest impression. They are so pretty and their every action just attracts me. Yup and for the one that I dislike most...... S.. ss... sss.... snakes!! I have a phobia for snakes. There was once we entered this wooden hut and when I turned to the left.... "Ahhhhhhhh!" screamed, turned and I walked out while JQ and XW remained inside to take pictures. But after that, JQ insisted that I take a picture so I closed my eyes and they lead me to the glass panel. Seriously I was freaking out and till now, although the pictures are in my camera and computer, I only opened it once and it was an accident. I jumped up when the picture pop out on the screen. Sssssssss... =( The zoo closes at 6pm so after that we took a cab, went over to my SK house to get the car and headed to Pasir Ris to meet Sally for dinner. Dine at her workplace, a Japanese Buffet restaurant located in a community centre. We paid about 25 bucks each and could order as much as possible. The food was quite good and considering the price, it's definitely worth it. =) Not our first round. Hahaha.    XW then went to the toilet to change/prepare for her big night. LOL. We all left the place feeling extremely bloated! Drove to Boat Quay and we couldn't find a parking lot near the pub so I ended up parking at Parliament House! LOL. XW reserved 2 tables but the turn up was more than expected so some had to stand. Haha. Played Russian poker, cai quan and managed to sing 2 songs. Guess the biggest privilege for a driver was that you need not drink any alcohol when you lose. LOL. I was asked to drink cups of plain water and at the ending part, Gabriel, my junior from Tpss was chosen to help me drink down those alcohol when I lose. He's so guai, he just drink when they asked him to. Damn funny. =)      JQ, Sally and I left the place at about 1am. Poor girls! They were so red. Both were fored to drink due to the game. Haha. Yes! and finally I ended the day at about 2am. ZzzzZZzzz. =) Alright, as for yesterday... Woke up early, dressed up and was off to Four Seasons Hotel for Angie Jiejie's wedding lunch. The ballroom was arranged as though you're in Hogwarts. Something different but still very nice. It was a buffet style wedding lunch and I really like the bread pudding. Haha. Anyway, I haven't seen Angie Jiejie, John and Justin for very long! Our mums are good friends and I used to go over to their house very often when I was young. Practically grew up together till Jus and I entered secondary.     Stayed there for about an hour and a half then I tried my luck in asking my mum if I could leave first. And she said "okay!" *Shocked* Rush to the car to get my things and get changed into a shorts then took a cab down to East Point to meet JQ and Pei Yan. Thank God Spop Event hasn't start. Blah blah blah... Same stuff. Tried to get high but failed. LOL. =)    And finally after waiting for months, it was time for us to head down to Indoor Stadium for Jay Chou's Concert!!! Damn excited about it. Saw Xuejun. She managed to win tickets for the concert. Lucky girl! Sandra was there too but even with my powerful binoculars(LOL!) I didn't manage to find her. It's until the concert started and with my don't give up spirit, I finally found her and her sister with blue sticks waving from left to right. Haha. Anyway, the concert was WOAH! Definitely first-rate even though there were times he forgot his lyrics and sang wrongly but provided you know the song really well, I doubt you will be able to realise it. =) andandand he's sooo charming when playing the piano. I think guys who know how to play the piano really well deserve a plusplus point. LOL. His grandmother also performed. Everyone was really high towards the end, encored twice.. All in all, it was a virtuoso performance. =D       Brother came to fetch us after that and he almost met into accident. Thank God!! If they didn't jump back in time, it's a confirm hit! This is what happen when there are already sooo many cars moving around and people still choose to jaywalk when they are right under the overhead bridge!! Blame it on laziness! OKAY! Finally! I AM DONE FOR THIS POST! Can't be happier. LOL. Ohohoh..... and I've changed my phone. THANKS DADDY!! =) Really wanted W580i but the white one is completely sold out. So I decided on the red W910i. Made a wasted trip to the clinic today. Due to something, I have to postpone the check up till next week. Sianz.Went over to the library to kill time and I managed to borrow a few books for reference. Hopefully it can help me in my lesson planning. =) Went church at night and everything that the Father said just now made me think alot. There was a part when he asked.. "Do you as Catholics do the sign of the cross after each of your meal prayer?" Most people started laughing and he started saying about how most Catholics feel paiseh about doing the sign of the cross outside and stuff like that and it makes me think of my own actions. I usually don't practice doing it but as of today I know I have to change. Today's session seriously got me thinking alot. "How many of you drag yourself to church every Sunday?" or "Do you jump out from your bed and say today is Sunday and I'm going to spend my day worshipping God?" "How many of you will spare some time everyday to have your own quiet time with God?" "How many of you take out the bible to read everyday?" "How many of you allow the Holy Spirit to live in you and let it be the one that lead you?" ........................................................... There are a lot more but I suffer from STM so ya... =P Anyway, meeting Meiyun and Eveline for lunch tomorrow. Then at night, there will be a one to one meeting with Idon'tknow which Father for all of us. Although I've been through it twice but I'm still very nervous about it. Haha. After dragging for more than a week, I called her to thank her for her Christmas present. She was soooooo surprised and started laughing non-stop on the other side of the phone. Made me laugh to myself as well. Haha. She told me about school and how her mum told her that she can only go HK if she save some money everyday and put it in her piggy bank. LOL. Told her I'll be going back to St Anne's to teach, hopefully I'll see her soon. Oh! She also told me that Rachel's sister is in my class and gosh~ the small girl actually came to self introduce herself to me that time. Ahhhhhhhhh~ Brenda. I remember her. Bored~!I'm rotting in front of the computer. Tried doing some research but not very productive. So much work to do but no mood to start. 2 more weeks and I'll officially start work. I'm so dead. Always suffering from last minute syndrome. B.A.D! and it's raining again today! Seriously when will it stop raining? Although I love cold, rainy days but it's raining too much now. The weather makes me lazy and makes me want to sleep even more. Tsktsktsk. Oh and with such a cold day I should be craving for maybe steamboat whatsoever, something that warms the body but no, I'm craving for Subway now. Thanks to JQ. She just had meatball marinara and commented that it is nice. I want to try it too! Even though I'm a very faithful subway melt supporter. LOL. Guess it's about time I try something else. Haha. Anyway, I've been voting for Spop since it started few weeks back and week in, week out the results have been ARGH~!!!! Seriously it's pretty frustrating knowing that you spent quite some time voting and so on and also heard so many people commenting about how nice some songs are but the songs just can't get into the Top 6. It makes me wonder if I'm actually putting in enough effort to help vote or is the others just saying with no actions or maybe the other songs just have too many friends/fans to vote for them that no matter how much I vote it will never be enough. Tonight is the night. I'm so going to throw in the towel if the song still don't make it up the table. Ahhhhhhhhh~~~~~!!!!I wanted to blog evidence to prove my point on JQ's eating speed but I accidentally deleted the photos!! *bang head against the wall* =/ Anyway, badminton yesterday was great! 3 hours of training and I didn't feel tired at all. =D Dine at Parkway after that and as usual waited for my dearest JQ to eat finish. I shall take pictures of her eating again next time. Argh! =] Had the urge to sing so we bus-ed to Orchard and sang our hearts out till about 2am. They actually gave us the room till 6am but I was already dead tired and my eyes could hardly open. I suggested taking the NR but upon reaching the bus stop we realised that they don't operate on weekdays! So obviously cabbed home. As for today, met Meiyun for gym-ing and tanning. I was too tired to wake up early yesterday so we postponed it to this afternoon. Stayed in the gym for about an hour. Gosh~ my whole body was aching from yesterday's training but it's a good sign, because it means muscles are forming. LOL. Muscles are easier to burn off you know. After that, we only got slightly tanned because Mr Sunny Sun Sun wasn't very cooperative, it started raining after an hour so we slacked around then went home and I dead in bed. Haha. Was in town with JQ today and I had the chance to witness a miracle.And that is...... JQ actually ate finished her dinner before me!! *Shocked* Hahahaha. Nothing great but for all these years I've known her, it has never happened before. That girl's eating speed is like a kid, so imagine the amount of patience you need to have while waiting for her to finish her meal. =] Went to church at night and I recieved a belated Christmas present from Andy. *Suprised* Anyway, baptism is in 2 months time and there are so many things that I have yet to settle. Howhowhow??? Some things are just too difficult to ask...... Weird. Joey and Anthony are coming over to watch soccer later and hopefully I'll be able to stay awake because my eyes can hardly open now. -_- andandand tomorrow is going to be a really tiring day, gym-ing and tanning(provided Mr Sunny Sun Sun cooperates) in the morning with Meiyun after which will be off to tkgs with JQ to help Miss Tan in badminton training. Pray I don't collaspe. I haven't been doing that much execise in one day and the fact that I won't have enough sleep..... Woohooo.. Badminton in the afternoon was okay. Argh! I need stamina! I can never last for a whole hour at the moment. Guess if I were to force myself, I'll probably faint in the court. =]  Went over to NYP in the evening to support the TP girls. The IVP tourny is always like a small reunion session. I like. =) And I also saw many familiar faces today. Badminton girls from my batch in different Uni. Indeed we have all grown up.......   Candid!  Half of Tpss badminton - Batch of 2004. with our alltimefavourite coach!  After that, it was back to Nat's place to get the car and off to Bedok 85. On our way home........   Anyway, I think my late nights are seriously taking a toll on my face. The pimples are back to huant me. It is soooo bad, I think I might need to consume antibiotics again. *Sianz* Oh! and I also need to adjust my sleeping hours before work starts in end Jan, if not I'll definitely suffer. Yes! I'm here to tell you about the 2 good news.Both have been confirmed........... Everyone say "Yeah!" =) So this is it... I'll be going on a 9 days trip to China - Guangzhou/Shenzhen and maybe Hongkong in Mid April with Jiaqi, Natalie and JQ's family. We'll be helping JQ's dad at a Trade Fair in Guangzhou for a few days after which it will be free and easy in Shenzhen and maybe HK. And the best part about it, it is a fully paid trip by the company. Woohoo~! =) Yes! I'm so excited about it. It will be exactly 3 years since I last went on a holiday with the girls. Gosh! I can't wait! Next up! Last Friday, Mrs Tan from St Anne's Church Kindergarten sms-ed me about a job vancacy and asked if I was keen about it. And of course, I accepted it! The fact that I like the school sooooo much, I see no reason why I should turn down the offer. So I went back to school today for an interview with Father James Yeo and have everything finalised. I'll be taking over Nursery - Peace Class. Gosh! Kids their age are ultra adorable! I can't stop smiling to myself even though there are a few crying terrors in class. LOL. Everything will turn out fine! Have faith! =) Anyway, Chen Lao Shi passed me a Christmas gift given to me by one of my student. I'm really happy and glad at the same time because she left her telephone number and address on the card. Think I'll call her tomorrow to thank her. I miss you too! Left St Anne's and went town with Meiyun. My girl was looking for a present and after walking from Far East to Heeren she ended up buying nothing. LOL. Can't resist the temptation of Starbucks, we ended up chilling/gossiping/cam-whoring there till it was time to go home. My dearest wife also gave me a souvenir she bought from Taiwan. Thanks Babe! Interesting! Hahaha. I'm going to put this collage in my Friendster... if not someone is going to complain!!! LOL. =P  Tomorrow is going to be a full badminton day. Thanks to my sister, I woke up at 7am today just to send her to school because she was late. Seriously I dread driving when I'm feeling tired and worse I suffered a massive headache when I finally got on my bed again. My house ran out of paracetamol so I had to force myself to sleep with a really heavy head. Pretty torturing. And guess what? When I finally woke up at 2pm, I realised that I was crying while sleeping. Bad bad dream. =]Alright as you can see, I have been waking up rather late recently which isn't really good. This is not what I meant about living life to the fullest. LOL. So I am rather happy that I'll be meeting JQ for badminton tomorrow at 12pm because this means I have to wake up by 1045am. =D Anyway, I have a piece of good news to share but I think I'll wait for things to be finalise before broadcasting it. Happy New Year 2008!! I had a fantastic and memorable last day of 2007 plus countdown yesterday. and it all started from 1030am in the morning. I was off to Hougang Mall to meet JQ for breakfast after which we went to the library to look at children books and learn basic french!?! LOL. It was hilarious, especially when I sounded like some idiot. JQ was on the verge of boxing me which comes to show that I'm definitely not suitable for this language. Haha. Found a seat at Gelare where they had the best view for the SPOP Event. JQ and I ordered a slice of cake and 2 drinks and sat there throughout the event. Since it was the last day of 2007, we decided to be super high and I guess it kind of paid off well. Hahaha.  So much of being high... when the event ended and the artistes left, both of us became lost souls of Hougang who just sat at the interchange for almost an hour not knowing what to do. *Sad case* JQ then suggested heading to AMK to search for Hong Kah CC. In the end, upon reaching and a check with my dad, we were told the CC was located at Jurong West! So we walked over to AMK Hub to have our dinner and unexpected SMSes started flooding our Hp and brightening our day. Hahaha! We are not being "Pao Qi!" Alright we reached Bukit Batok for the countdown event at about 11pm and the place was filled with people. Waited till it was time for Diya to perform then JQ and I went over to the front of the stage to sit. Waved, screamed and sang along. *HIGH*  10..9..8..7..6..5..4..3..2..1.. Happy New Year!! Handshakes, hugs, wishes and photo taking were all that took place in the starting minutes of 2008! It was nice being surrounded by smiley faces everywhere. Total Love! The whole feeling was great! Woohoooo.. Stayed for awhile then left. Anyway while on the way back at about 2am, I called my mum and we ended up talking on the phone for about half an hour or more while JQ rotted beside me. Oops!     Cabbed back to my place to get the car then it was off to Bedok 85 to meet Natalie and some others. Didn't stay there for long.. Waited for natalie then the 3 of us went over to Amara Sanctuary Resort at Sentosa to look for Xiaowei who was working Night shift on New Year's Eve. How poor thing can that be?!?! XW bought us around and even opened a room for us to rest in for 10 minutes. LOL. But it's better than nothing. Haha. Went up to the pool area and there was quite a good view so we decided to stay there while waiting for XW to knock off from work. By then it was already about 5am, so the 3 of us just lied on the chaise longue and attemped to sleep. I had a hard time falling asleep, waking up every few minutes and also because it was freaking COLD~!!!!!!    Anyway, I managed to catch sunrise(without seeing the sun) and by 7am the other 2 finally woke up and we started taking photos. I was shivering la. The morning breeze was so strong but then the feeling was great! Haha. Happy happy new year!
