I'm sooooo proud of myself!I started my part time job at FM95.8 today. The moment I reached, I was given work to do. Everything thrown to me was in Chinese! Everyone was speaking in an almost perfect Mandrian. And so I thought, Gosh I'm sooooo dead!!! Butbutbut..... I managed to overcome it! Don't ask me how, I just did! I tried my utmost best to read and understand whatever was given to me, tried to talk in a passable mandarin to whoever was on the other line(which I think I failed terribly! LOL.) and thank god I'm pretty good with hanyu pinyin so I actually managed to type in Chinese! To me, it's an accomplishment! I mean you all should know how "fantastic" my Chinese is. I'm glad I still managed to complete my work. But seriously having to converse in Mandarin is just..... *bang head against the wall* tough! I can't find the right words so I always end up speaking in English and my tongue just seems tied. Anyway, I survived today and that is what matters most. I'm tired, very very tired. Having to work non stop from 8am is no joke. I still got tons of school work to do but I'm tooo drained to move. I'm going to sleep now because getting enough sleep is the only way I see myself surviving the rest of this week. Good night world! "Why are you putting yourself through this?" "You just went Taiwan last year." Mum's words hit hard on me when I'm totally worn out. But I'll hang on. JIAYOU AMANDA! God's by my side. *I can't get you out of my mind*
